ecoVINO says: The vineyards of the Morainic Hills - which originate from glacial deposits - rest on calcareous clay, interspersed with gravelly rocks and sand which provide lots of minerality to the overall flavour of this Custoza DOC wine. This is delightful easy-drinking dry white wine that offers great value for money. The blend of grapes used in the winemaking process provide a really good level of balance, intensity and complexity to the wine. Best to drink now (or before 2024) as an aperitif with your family and friends.
Aroma: Warm aromas of peach, almond and tropical fruit - particularly lychee, banana and honeydew melon - with hints of ripe white pear in the background.
Taste: Dry with medium acidity. Light-to-medium bodied with medium alcohol and finish. This blend opens with beautiful nectarine, peach flower and honeydew melon flavours with gentle hints of almond. Citrus notes of pink grapefruit and lime on the finish.
Food pairing: Great as an aperitif alongside a few savoury snacks, or with low-fat and fresh tasting dishes and sauces.
Open: No decanting required.
Service temperature: Chilled (8 to 10 degrees Celsius).
Winemaking process: Each harvested grape varietal is picked at optimal ripeness and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures of 16 degrees Celsius. After fermentation, wines are blended together. Maturation continues in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling.
Allergens: Minimal sulphites - lower than EU organic wine production requirements.
