(This wine is still very drinkable - however the aroma/taste characteristics may now be slightly different to those detailed below)
Bottles produced: 10,000
Grapes: Pinot Grigio.
Colour: Golden lemon.
Alcohol by volume: 13%
ecoVINO says: This delightful Pinot Grigio has lots of body and is very well-rounded and nicely balanced. This is a very interesting dry white wine which has lots of minerality and complexity. The wine is best served very chilled, and drinks perfectly alongside a meal with your family and friends.
Aroma: Balanced aromas of jasmine, pear and green apple, with hints of white pepper and green bell peppers.
Taste: Dry with medium-to-high acidity. Medium-bodied with medium-to-high alcohol and a very good finish. Opens with pronounced flavours of mouth-watering green apples and notes of jasmine. The wine displays evident flavours of apricot, almonds and unripe stone fruits. Closes with citrus notes, particularly grapefruit and lime rind on the finish.
Food pairing: Great alongside a few savoury snacks or with low-fat and fresh tasting dishes and sauces. This wine will also pair really well with fragranced Asian dishes.
Open: No decanting required.
Service temperature: Very chilled (4 degrees Celsius).
Winemaking process: The Pinot Grigio grapes are handpicked at optimal ripeness. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine is kept in contact with the lees for 6 months resulting in a medium-bodied dry white wine. Maturation continues in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling.
Allergens: Minimal naturally-occurring sulphites lower than EU organic wine production requirements.
